Though my mind deems it Monday, the clock tells me that it is now Tuesday. It's hardly believable... Kind of like the fact that January is almost over! The face that I've not been posting lately has been heavy on my mind. Much has happened that you need to be made aware of....

Last I left you, we had just sent a shipment of clothes, etc to Ukraine to arrive for Christmas. This being accomplished, now to offer all the chance to give orphans a great Christmas by contributing to OH. $10 bought a good meal and new set of clothes for orphans in Asia. After making a little flier, God provided for the Christmas of around 600 orphans! I praise Him for all He did, and the ability He gave me to share the opportunity.

The next big project was getting ready to be gone for two weeks at Christmas. It had been a while since OH had sent out Christmas cards, so that was the order of the month.... It was challenging to get all the items in order to send out our little Christmas package. Cards, photos, newsletter, response card, envelope, address... for about 500 names!! God graciously sent me several friends who graciously gave of their time and energy to see that the task was accomplished. Most of it was done the day before I flew out. But you don't know what a "mobile office" is until you have seen me on the road folding, stuffing, and stamping envelopes in the car on the way to the airport! : ) It was great and they were done. I pray that the cards were a blessing to all who received.

Returning back to Washington, after two weeks with my family, the pile was high. As I attempted to clear away some of the pile, preparations for Missions Fest became more and more pressing. The first Missions Fest was Jan 18-19 in Portland, OR, 6 hours away. Packing up the day before, God gave me wonderful weather for the drive down. With our booth in a high-traffic location, there were many people there who needed to hear of God's heart for the kids. Pray with me that He will continue to move the hearts of people we spoke to.

With three days in between Missions Fests, I opted to stay home until my Thursday departure for Missions Fest Vancouver. Yes, we were heading to Vancouver, BC, Canada! I wasn't enjoying the idea of the drive, but with the company of some sermon Cd's the time passed much more quickly. Again, in a high traffic area, we were able to speak to many about OH, the kids, & God's heart for orphans. I've already received several e-mails from people desiring to join us in July and at other times of the year! Please pray that God would prepare them for ministry, and myself to lead.

Now that Missions Fest is over, Steve & I are preparing for our trip to Asia. Departing February 9th, we don't have much time! For this trip I am not raising my own support. God has blessed me with enough in my bank account to do this one... But I still would like to offer you the chance to be involved: while in Asia, I'd like to be able to buy beds and cupboards for the new house at our orphanage. It will be $160 for a bunk bed and $140 for a cupboard. We need a total of 10 sets to give 20 orphans a great home; this will total $3000. God has already began to provide, but time is short. Pray that God would prepare peoples hearts to act quickly, but especially to follow His prompting!

For now, this must be all. It is long past my bed time, and sleep is needed.

Praise God for all the good He is doing.
Continue to pray with me that He is glorified in all things!
