Just this week, we received a note from our staff in Asia asking for prayer for the homes in their area. Many of the homes started through a couple's compassion and expanded without much planning.
Now, the government is going to begin requiring separate girls & boys dorms and dining facilities, as well as a governing board, business plan, and income generation. Each home will have to register with the government.
If they do not meet requirements, children in their home must be "sent back to where they came from."
This can be dire for the children. They have experienced instability and trying to make it on their own. They know the loss of parents and lack of hope. At the homes they have someone to take care of them, and learn of God's love.
Pray that their homes will not be dispersed. Pray that God will provide for the kids and that He will work on their behalf.
